Dear parents, Žaisloteka is waiting for your children

We are happy to bring good news to families with little children: Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania has opened a space, which was created to respond to your needs.

You no longer have to postpone your visit to the National Library, because you do not have where to leave your children. Bring them along and do not fear that the children will be bustling about the reading rooms and working spaces preventing you from peacefully using the library services. The children and their parents can both have enjoyable time in the library. We are waiting for your children in the Children's Activity Centre Žaisloteka (Toytheque), a cosy space intended for children. Specially trained specialists of the National Library will take care of your children and offer them various creative activities.

Žaisloteka accepts the children who are 3–6 years old and they may stay in the Centre for the maximum of 4 hours. For now, Žaisloteka is open to little visitors on business days only. However, having evaluated the demand and heard the needs of the visitors, we will consider longer working hours, including weekends.

Žaisloteka rules and opening hours are available here: (link)

We are waiting for you! Let's grow together!
