Meeting of IFLA Management and Marketing Committee in Vilnius

On 22–24 February, the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania hosted a meeting of the Standing Management and Marketing Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the International Library Marketing Evaluation Commission.

Representatives from the United States of America, Canada, Greece, Russia, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, China and Norway shared their insights and experience in library marketing. The meeting also addressed modern library marketing models and latest management trends. The International Library Marketing Evaluation Commission discussed the best library marketing projects, which will be awarded at the General Conference and Assembly of IFLA in Poland.

Activity Report of the Standing Management and Marketing Committee for 2017 was also discussed and approved. Much attention was dedicated to the programme and organisational issues of the IFLA Conference, which will take place in August, 2017, in Wrocław, Poland; the main theme of the conference is Libraries. Solidarity. Society.
