Theoretical-practical seminar "Manuscripts: we are saving, investigating and spreading the message", dedicated for county public library professionals, took place in Gabriele Petkevicaite-Bite Panevezys County Public Library on May 29. It aimed to inform employees, working with manuscript heritage, about traditions and innovations of these activities as well as to help libraries, just starting to collect manuscripts heritage, to choose the right working methods and techniques.

Head of Rare Book and Manuscript Department of the National Library Jolita Steponaitienė delivered report on the manuscript heritage, its origin, history, traditions and manuscript heritage in library. Supreme librarian Rima Dirsytė talked about management peculiarity of manuscript documents and basic requirements of service to the readers. Editor Alma Masevičienė, while presenting project "Development of personal database of written Lithuanian language", invited to join implementation of project seminar participants as well. Report of senior Editor Dalia Tarailienė "Manuscript heritage of Panevezys region in the National Library" was interesting to the seminar participants very much. Head of Public Relations Department of the National Library Birutė Pečiulevičiūtė delivered report "Organization of virtual exhibitions. Usage of manuscript documents in it". Seminar participants questioned actively and received answers to their questions.

Staff of the National Library had a great opportunity to visit Gabriele Petkevicaite-Bite Panevezys County Public Library and to see rare book and manuscript collections.
