Virtual exhibition “I Shall Live On…” commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Maironis

A virtual exhibition commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Maironis – one of the most outstanding Lithuanian poets to give meaning to the spiritual and historical experience of the Lithuanian nation and an exceptionally sensitive portrayal of the faith of the human being and the nation – reflects and supplements the travelling exhibition The Voices of Spring prepared by Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania as part of the National Programme of the Year of Maironis implemented in 2012. Through its free access online and the commentaries available in Lithuanian, English and Russian languages, the exhibition will provide more opportunities to take a step towards a better understanding of one of the most valuable pages in the Lithuanian cultural heritage to the readers across Lithuania and worldwide who did not have a chance to attend the events organised in the framework of the National Programme of the Year of Maironis.
