Directors of European National Libraries met in Liechtenstein

The board meeting of the European Library (TEL) and 26th annual conference of European National Librarians (CENL) took place in Liechtenstein on September 29-October 2. The meeting and the conference was participated by Director General of Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania Prof. Renaldas Gudauskas.
Interoperability solutions and development scenarios of main strategic CENL projects, Europeana and TEL were discussed during the meetings.
Experts’ prepared opinion was approved consensus: TEL and Europeana projects in the next couple of years should merge together and form a common technical infrastructure.
CENL perspectives in new digitized European context were discussed during events as well.
