80th year anniversary of first leader of restored Republic of Lithuania, chairman of Supreme Council - Restored Seimas, member of European Parliament, National Culture and Art Prize laureate, Professor Vytautas Landsbergis was commemorated by Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union (Brussels) on October 17.

Vytautas Landsbergis discussed with politician, philosopher Kęstutis Girnius about restoration and consolidation of country’s’ independence in the international arena during the event.

The event was sounded by literarily - musical improvisation: Vytautas Landsbergis read his poetry works; he was accompanied by jazz virtuoso, saxophonist Petras Vyšniauskas.

The new exhibition “Vytautas Landsbergis. Monographs, documents and speeches” is prepared in collaboration with Parliamentary Information Department of Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. It presents political interests and activities of V. Lansbergis.
