Scientific conference “Change of Lithuanian Identity in Exile Culture” took place in (Kaunas) Vytautas Magnus University's Center for Emigration Studies on April 27. Interdisciplinary conference was designed for research and presentation of change of Lithuanian identity in the context of exile culture. Expression of Lithuanian exile identity (of XIX–XXI c.) in cultural, historical, linguistic, sociological fields was analysed in scientific reports. Lithuanian and foreign researchers presented their insights, summarized research conclusions and opportunities of new scientific theories, analysing available sources, related to Lithuanian emigration and ethnic identity.


Head of Lituanica Department of the National Library Jolanta Budriūnienė delivered report “Expression of Lithuanian Identity in Exile Academic Press: Magazine “Lituanus” ”.
