She is interested in studies on memory culture and politics and a concept for memorial sites. Her research is on tendencies of memorialisation of Lithuanian writers during various time periods, and transformation into memory or oblivion sites. She also analyses the domain of the Lithuanian Literature of the Soviet period (egodocuments, creative work, publicistic journalism).

Currently her main research work is related to the preparation of the article “The Sun Bearers of 1940: Sites of Memory or Oblivion?” The article analyses changes in strategies for memorialising the four Lithuanian authors (Salomėja Nėris, Petras Cvirka, Antanas Venclova and Liudas Gira) during different time periods: constructs of these authors in the public environment of the Soviet period and that after the restoration of Lithuania’s independence, the change of their evaluation and various signs of their memorialisation. It also has the purpose to identify factors determining characteristics of the authors’ constructs and categories of the sights of memory and oblivion.
