The National Library’s research activities involve over 60 staff members pursuing various subjects. Among the National Library’s staff, there are 27 researchers with a doctorate degree. The Library has two large structural units dealing with research activities: the Document  Heritage Research Department and the Information and Communication Sciences Department (the latter performs analytical work the results of which are intended for decision makers and analyses statistical data).
