The #mES20 exhibition, marking the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to the European Union, tells the story of the long and difficult path Lithuania has taken since regaining independence and integrating into the European Community.
As part of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to the EU, the Embassy of Ireland in Vilnius is hosting a special performance of Irish dancing and music with Lenka Fairy and supporting musicians.
Artists, researchers and exhibition curators are invited to submit proposals for exhibitions to be held in the exhibition spaces of the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania as part of the 2025 Programme. Please send the completed application form with attached examples of works and active links in PDF format (maximum size 10 MB) by 26 May at 00:00.
On April 15, Aušrinė Žilinskienė became Director General of the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. Mrs. Žilinskienė was selected to lead the National Library after winning a Ministry of Culture competition in November of last year. She is the first female director general in the National Library's 105-year history.
The Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania and the Embasy of Spain would like to invite you to our Spanish Cinema Club + discussion afterwards. We will be watching the Spanish cinema classic, Todos a la cárcel by Luis García Berlanga. The film will be in Spanish with English subtitles.

The Library’s opening hours are one hour shorter on a day before a public holiday thus our Library will be open until 5:00 pm on the 10th of March.
