Performance “Cowboy Days: Music and Stories of their Vanished World”

We invite you to a unique performance by American artists Ilene and Paul Kreshka – “Cowboy Days”, featuring authentic 19th century cowboy music with stories. The music performed was collected by John Avery Lomax and is preserved at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

The performance will be held in English.

ILENE KRESHKA studied ballet at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and danced with various ballet companies and on Broadway.  She was for many years associated with the American writer and choreographer Agnes De Mille.

PAUL KRESHKA is an Austrian-American singer, actor and musician.  He began playing the banjo as a child growing up in California.  He studied acting at the Juilliard School in New York, toured nationally playing Shakespeare, and was a member of the Berkeley Shakespeare Festival.  He was the original percussionist on and off Broadway in the musical “Strider” and appeared in Joe Papp’s “Shakespeare in the Park”.
