The Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Cooperation between the National Library of Lithuania and the National Library of Armenia

The Director of the National Library of Armenia, Anna Chulyan, and the Director-General of the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania, Prof. Dr. Renaldas Gudauskas, with a view to strengthening the cultural and scientific ties between Armenia and Lithuania, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The document states that both libraries will share information related to library science and information science, development of electronic resources and creation a digital library, codification and restoration of manuscript resources, other specialist areas as well as their experiences.

The institutions are planning to participate in the exchange of lecturers, experts and library materials (information resources, books, periodicals, non-book materials, other electronic publications or digital copies of chosen publications).

They also discussed collaboration in the field of research, organisation of courses, trainings, exhibitions and conferences, and publication of specialists’ articles in the scholarly publication of both parties.

This Memorandum will remain in effect for 3 years. It may later be extended as mutually agreed by the parties.
